Top 10 UCLA Bruins men’s basketball players of all time
5. Ed O’Bannon (1991-95)
If not for O’Bannon, UCLA fans would only have Wooden’s trophies and teams to celebrate. O’Bannon brought the Bruins back to championship glory with a senior season for the ages. Following two years where he was named first-team All-Pac-10, O’Bannon took his game up his final season, leading UCLA to the NCAA title with Pac-10 Player of the Year, USBWA Player of the Year and Wooden Award performances while also excelling in the tournament with All-Region, All-Tournament and Most Outstanding Player honors. He scored 1,815 points in his career, No. 7 all time, and averaged 15.5 points, seven rebounds and 1.8 assists over 117 games. His No. 31 jersey is retired by the program.
