Get to know York HS soccer player Ryder Kohl
ELMHURST, Ill. — Ryder Kohl is a senior defender on the Boys Varsity Soccer team. Ryder has become a face of the program and a necessary component to the program’s success over the past two years. Last year he was a state champion starter and an all conference player. This year he accepted the role of team captain, scored 9 W goals with 13 assists (which is absurd for a central defender), and received All-State accolades en route to a 4th place finish at State. His professionalism, drive, and commitment to his teammates is second to none and he is a wonderful young man both on and off the field. Opposing teams know his name before they play the Dukes and even though they do everything they can to try and stop him Ryder always pushes through and comes out on top. He is very deserving of this award, and should be wowing people with his abilities on the soccer pitch for many years to come. Congratulations Ryder!
