Bowie HS football team finishes successful season
AUSTIN, Texas — Football is a commitment, a true team sport that takes discipline, effort, toughness, and hard work. The game isn’t easy and it takes grit to show up each day for yourself and your teammates. Congratulations to the 2022 JBHS Bulldogs Football Program on another great season!
The Varsity team finished out their 2022 season with an impressive 7 wins and 3 losses. Their game against Lake Travis was canceled due to storms; both teams were in the playoffs. Varsity played in the bi-district championship game, ending their season in a loss to Vandegrift.
Junior Varsity is made up of two teams- JV Black (A-team) and JV Red (B-team). JV Black finished out their season with a 5-4 record and JV Red ended at 2-4.

A Note From Coach
To all our Seniors, Booster Club, parents, players, trainers, filmers, and coaches- it is such an honor to be a part of this TEAM.
Seniors- you always played and represented our program, school, and community with class. When people play us, they know they are in for a tough, physical game played the right way. Thank you for your commitment to our program. This game is not easy; that’s why only a few can do it and stick it out. You all have GRIT. You know what to do when things get tough. You stick it out and you persevere. You know that when you get knocked down you get back up and stay in the fight.
You will all be way ahead of your peers because of the life lessons that football has taught you. We love you and we are VERY proud of you!
-Jeff Ables, Head Coach
