6. Wally Grant (1946-50)
Grant captured three straight first-team All-American accolades (1948-50). He was a major factor on the 1948 national championship team. The Minnesotan made his presence felt within U of M hockey for years following his playing days. Coach Vic Heyliger called him, “the best two-way hockey player I have ever seen.”
