When the Chico State men’s soccer team found itself with a scoring opportunity during the 2022 season, chances were good that Adrian Fontanelli would somehow be involved. The junior midfielder was a constant presence on the pitch this fall, logging well over 1,600 minutes of playing time and serving as a key cog to the Wildcats’ 7-5-8 record and the program reaching the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament for the sixth straight season. His outstanding efforts have been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) organization, which named Fontanelli Second Team All-West Region for the just-completed 2022 campaign.
