BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (BVM) – Former Indiana great Mike Woodson knows just what it takes to build a successful college program. The former Hoosiers’ standout is hoping he can bring Indiana back to the top of the rankings on an annual basis and continue to add to the powerhouse that Indiana has been historically known as.

Dating back to his time with Bob Knight, Woodson knows just how deep the history of the team goes. From undefeated title runs to historic coaches and players, Indiana has set itself nearly alone when it comes to basketball lore. With a plethora of lottery picks and former IU basketball greats, the program has been in great hands. Here’s a look back at the top Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball players of all time.

Honorable mention:

Mike Woodson (1976-1980)

Woodson, who returned to coach the program back in 2021, was one of the top defenders in program history and ranks top five in both all-time steals and points. At the time, Woodson was just the second player in Indiana history to reach the 2,000-point career mark.
