- Syl Apps, C (1936-43, 1945-48)
Apps helped the Leafs win three Stanley Cup Titles. He won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, an award given to the player who displays a combination of skill and sportsmanship, in 1942. Apps took home the Calder Memorial Trophy as well.
He’d miss some of his prime years as a player after World War II broke out. He’d rejoin the Leafs, and his impact was felt immediately as he recorded 40 points in the 1945 season.
The five-time All-Star has his No. 10 jersey retired by the team.
