7. Matthew Stafford, 2006-08

It may come as a surprise to some that Stafford isn’t higher on this list, but the Super Bowl champion QB accomplished more in the NFL than he did in Athens. His 25 touchdown passes in 2008 were a school record until the mark was broken five years later while his five touchdown passes in a game against in-state Georgia Tech that same season are still tied for the most in a single game in program history. Stafford only started two seasons in Athens and didn’t win much compared to other QBs on this list, but the former No. 1 overall pick totaled 7,731 passing yards (fifth in program history) and 51 passing touchdowns (sixth in program history).
