Ranking the top 10 Golden State Warriors of all time
Honorable mention
Mitch Richmond (1988-1991)
The 1988-89 NBA Rookie of the Year provided quite the offensive spark during his three years with the franchise. Behind 22.7 points per game, the No. 5 overall pick helped the Warriors to two Western Conference Semifinals as the team’s third option and gave Golden State some of its most exciting squads since the early and mid-1970s.
Tim Hardaway (1989-1996)
Alongside Richmond, the standout point guard reintroduced the Warriors to the NBA playoffs, making three of his five All-Star team appearances with the franchise. One of the top playmakers in the game, a knee-injury seemed to halt the trajectory that Hardaway was on during the 1993-94 season. Still, the NBA Hall of Famer enjoyed quite the Warriors career.
Baron Davis (2004-08)
Davis was the headliner of the first eighth seed in NBA history to beat a one seed in a seven-game series following the Warriors’ upset over the Dallas Mavericks in 2007. In his four seasons with the team, the playmaking point guard helped return Golden State back to the playoffs after a disappointing stretch in franchise history that lasted 12 seasons without an appearance.
Neil Johnston (1952-59)
With the recent run of Golden State success, Johnston tends to get overshadowed. But, the former Philadelphia Warriors center averaged 22.7 points and 15.1 rebounds from 1951-59 and locked down an enshrinement in the Hall of Fame after six All-Star game appearances and three scoring titles.
