Former Corona del Mar HS volleyball player Kendall Kipp wins Pac-12 Player of the Year
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Congratulations to Corona del Mar High School 2019 alumni and Port Streets resident Kendall Kipp for earning Pac-12 Player of the Year honors for women’s volleyball!
Before attending Stanford, Kipp played four years for the Corona del Mar girls’ volleyball team. She has also played on the youth, junior, and collegiate national teams. Her goal following college is to play professionally for the US.
Kipp is a senior opposite hitter and the first Cardinal to earn the award since former Player of the Year Kathryn Plummer ’19 was recognized in 2017 and 2018. As of December 3, 2022, she was ranked 18th nationally in kills per set (4.35) and ninth nationally in points per set (5.24). She has been a key factor in the team’s success in 2022. The Newport Beach native is seeking her second national title as a Cardinal.
The Stanford women’s volleyball team completed the regular season as the Pac-12 champions. This is their first conference title since 2019. At the time of writing this article. the team dominated in Rounds 1 & 2 in their hunt for a national title. On December 3, 2022, Kipp matched her career-high with 24 kills on .667 hitting to lead No. 1 seed Stanford to a sweep over LSU in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
