Ranking the top 10 Montreal Canadiens players of all time
9. Henri Richard, F, 1955-75
When it comes to winning in sports, Bill Russell is typically the first name that comes to mind. But Richard’s 11 Stanley Cups tie that of Russell. In fact, the Canadiens won the cup in each of Richard’s first five seasons. The center led the league twice in assists and finished his 20-year career with 1,046 points. He also holds the record for games played in franchise history with 1,256. Unfortunately, his Montreal legacy is a bit overshadowed by his brother, Maurice.
