8. Nick Fairley DE, (2009-2010)

Fairley was a part of the 2010 national championship Auburn team that dominated the country. His contributions earned him the Lombardi Trophy, the second Tiger to win the award, and he broke the Tigers’ single-season record for sacks with 11.5. That same year, he also had 60 tackles, 36 solo tackles and 24 tackles for loss. He was selected as the defensive player of the game in the national championship for his three tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. Fairley was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year as well.
