HINESVILLE, Ga. — Congratulations to senior defensive back, Jamar Joseph #21, who the Liberty County High School Panthers placed on the all-region first team offense. At the age of 18, Jamar has played football for four years and has also participated in track.

We thought you would enjoy learning more about him by asking him a few questions.

What are your personal goals within your sport/athletic dreams?

Jamar Joseph: I’m playing football to give my family the dream they never had.

What is your biggest challenge in your sport, and what do you do to manage this challenge?

Joseph: Being shorter than the competition. I managed to overcome the adversity handed to me and get to work.

What was the best advice you were ever given?

Joseph: When players lead, we win games.

What do you love about your sport?

Joseph: The adversity. The game wouldn’t be good if everything was easy.

Do you have a pregame ritual you follow?

Joseph: I meditate while I listen to rap music.

What do you like to do outside of your sport?

Joseph: I like to help my mom cook or I’ll work on my craft while at home.

What has being a member of a team taught you?

Joseph: As a TEAM, we can be greater than what we are.

Describe a mistake you made while competing and how you overcame it?

Joseph: 4th and long. Whole defense is tired. I’m getting beat the whole game. I overcame my fear of getting beat and caught an interception.

Anything else you’d like to add:

Joseph: I’m here to dominate at the college level of football. Simple.
