9. Kevin Lowe (1979-92, 1996-98)

With so much premier talent topping the lines of the Oilers’ 80s teams, Lowe was tasked with doing the dirty work in the franchise’s Stanley Cup aspirations. While pairing up with defensive line-mate Paul Coffey, Lowe had to become a reliable force on the defensive end as Coffey shined as a puck-mover and point scorer. Lowe finished in the top ten in Norris Trophy voting four times and helped the Oilers win five Stanley Cups. His nearly 400 points wouldn’t tell the whole story of his impact on the cup winning teams.
