- Brent Burns, D (2011-22)
San Jose acquired Burns from the Minnesota Wild during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a five-year, $28.8 million contract extension when the trade was finalized. Burns racked up 549 career points with the Sharks, and during the 2016-17 season, he won the Norris Trophy, an annual award given to the NHL’s best defensive player.
He also won the Ted Lindsay Award, an award presented to the most outstanding player voted by the NHLPA members, in 2017.
