Catching up with NFL prospect, Avondale alum Nick Whiteside II
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Auburn Hills native, Nicholas (Nick) R Whiteside II, believes, “If you keep God first, keep your head down, put the work in towards your dreams or goal you can do anything you want to do in life.”
It’s clear the Avondale High School standout has put in the work on the gridiron. Upon attending Saginaw Valley State University, Nick set a goal – to be one of the greatest players to come through that university – and achieved it. He became a two-time All American and 1st Team GLIAC Defensive Back. Now all the work and accolades are paying off. Nick is pursuing his childhood dream: entering the 2023 NFL Draft.
“Since I was young, I’ve loved the grind of the game. It gives back what you put in and I’ve made sure I have put in the work to get where I am in my football career,” says Nick. “I look forward to the grind at the next level.”
Outside of football on the field, Nick is a gamer, one of the better Madden NFL Madden Championship Series video game players.
Nick is grateful to God, his family, coaches and teammates for sharing his football journey.
