4. ACC tournament champions

2015 was just the second year Notre Dame was a member of the ACC, but that’s all it took for the Fighting Irish to earn their only conference title. Notre Dame entered the tournament as the No. 12 team in the nation with a bye into the quarterfinals. In the tournament final against No. 19 North Carolina, Jerian Grant led the Irish on a 26-3 run to win 90-82 and secure the championship.

3. First Sweet 16 berth in 16 years

After barely appearing in NCAA Tournament in the 1990s, Notre Dame makes the Sweet 16 in 2003 for the first time since 1987, under the leadership of head coach Mike Brey. Notre Dame beat Milwaukee in the first round and Illinois in the second round to advance.
