Mississauga Steelhead James Hardie scores record-setting goal

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — James Hardie (14) the 20-year-old left-winger from Innisfil Ontario scored his Mississauga Steelheads’ record-setting 114th career goal and record-setting 207th point on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Mississauga’s Paramount Fine Foods Centre against the Sudbury Wolves as part of a 7-2 Mississauga victory. The goal came on a third-period breakaway when Hardie beat the Sudbury goalie with a backhand to the top shelf. This is Hardie’s fourth season with the Steelheads. He remains undrafted by an NHL team, but hopefully, his skillful play will not go unnoticed for long.
