Payton has been tied to Arizona for almost the entirety of the season. His offensive prowess means that pairing him with Murray is a no brainer to many. The tricky part about getting Payton is getting him out of his contract with the New Orleans Saints. Hiring Payton would also mean giving over total control of the organization to him. With Murray, Marquise Brown and Hopkins on offense, Payton would have more than enough to recreate the offensive juggernaut he had in New Orleans with Drew Brees. It’ll just come down to if Arizona thinks he’s a good fit and if they are willing to give the Saints the compensation they are asking for to get Payton.
