Preston Smith can’t secure $1 million

The Packers outside linebacker needed one and a half sacks against the Lions to have 10 in a season. This would have given the pass rusher an additional $1 million in his contract as an incentive.

Unfortunately for Smith, he wasn’t able to record a single sack against Detroit, missing out on his extra cash. Even more unfortunate for the linebacker is that his Packers dropped the must-win game 20-16, missing out on the postseason.
