Za’Darius Smith misses game and chance for $750K
The Minnesota Vikings defensive end was a great signing by the team this offseason, taking a talented player away from division rival Green Bay while also earning a Pro Bowler in the process. Heading into Sunday, Smith was just half a sack shy of 10.5 on the season, which would have given him an additional $750,000.
But, Smith was ruled out of the team’s game against the Chicago Bears. This had to have been disappointing considering the Bears gave up the fourth-most sacks in the league. For Smith, though he misses out on the extra money, at least his team will play this week in the playoffs.
Sacks for 💰 today:
🏈Vikings’ LB Za’Darius Smith needs 1/2 sack for $750K.
