8. Cale Makar, D (2019-Present) 

Makar’s career is still in its infancy but he’s already made a mark on the franchise. As a rookie, he won the Calder Trophy and the next year, he was second for the Norris Trophy. During the Avalanche’s 2022 Stanley Cup run, he was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy and the Norris Trophy. He led the team in points with 29 and assists with 22. Maker was the first player for Colorado defenseman to win the Norris Trophy and only the third defenseman in NHL history to win both the Conn Smythe and Norris in the same season. The future is bright for Maker and if he stays on this path, he could end up being No.1 on this list.
