Martin County girls soccer takes win over South Fork
STUART, Fla. — The soccer season for the Martin County Lady Tigers officially wrapped up, but one of their most notable highlights of the season came with their dominant win over South Fork on December 15th. It was the Tigers’ defense team’s time to shine as they edged out their hometown rivals with a score of 4-2.
Led by Junior defender Ashley Shaffer, the Lady Tigers all but shut out South Fork’s attempts at securing a victory. Junior defender, Megan Murphy, delivered two goals and an assist in addition to Junior midfielder, Mia Calderon, scoring another goal and adding an assist. The fourth goal came from Junior forward, Kacey O’Donnell. Junior keeper, Dakota Moberg, anchored Martin County’s win over South Fork with an impressive eight saves in the net.
Martin County is proud of the Lady Tigers and looks forward to watching them play their hearts out next season!
