Can Blackhawks land Connor Bedard?; Top 5 draft options
2. Adam Fantilli, C, NCAA
Fantilli entered the year as the clear No. 2 prospect after an impressive showing during his two seasons in the United States Hockey League playing for the Chicago Steel. Now in his freshman year at the University of Michigan, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound center is one of the top goal scorers in the NCAA. While Fantilli wouldn’t quite receive the same buzz for his play during the World Junior Tournament as some of his Canadian teammates, the opportunity allowed him to transition to what will be a similar situation as he heads to the NHL. With other talented players around him, Fantilli played mostly as a winger during the tournament but has done most of his work in the past as a center. With a chance to return back to the position with the Wolverines, Fantilli is likely to showcase his goal scoring ability once again.
