Ranking the 10 greatest dynamic duos in NHL history

Honorable mention

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton Oilers

Last season McDavid and Draisaitl led the franchise to its first Western Conference final appearance since 2006. Between the two of them, there have been nine All-Star appearances, five Art Ross Trophies, three Hart Memorial Trophies and four Ted Lindsay Trophies.

The only award that has eluded them is the Stanley Cup. Both can win a title in Edmonton if they stay together.

Henrik and Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks

Henrik and Daniel became the fourth pair of twins to play in the NHL. Both were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022 and had their numbers retired simultaneously.

Both brothers won the Art Ross Trophy, the award given to the player who leads the NHL in points and combined for 2,111 points in their 17-year careers.

Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings

Zetterberg and Datsyuk helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2008, and Zetterberg took home the Conn Smythe Trophy, given to the MVP of a team during the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs that year. Datsyuk was a three-time Selke Trophy winner, an award given to the NHL forward who demonstrates the most skill on defense.

Both are also in Detriot’s top 10 when it comes to career points.
