Former Napa football player Brock Bowers helps Georgia win championship
NAPA, Calif. — If anyone was expecting, or hoping for, a close contest between the Georgia Bulldogs and the TCU Horned Frogs for the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 9, they were quite certainly disappointed. The Horned Frogs scored only 7 points in the first quarter, and then never again did they put a point on the board. Georgia, on the other hand, with the help of Napa’s own Brock Bowers, scored steadily throughout the game, with a demolishing final score of 65-7. Bowers, a graduate of Napa High School in 2021, had seven catches totaling 152 yards, and a 22-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. Georgia has many reasons to celebrate this second-in-a-row Championship Victory.
