CHICAGO, Ill. — Grace Brumley, the Taft junior and St. Juliana graduate is the leading scorer on the Eagles’ varsity girls basketball team.

If you could play another sport, what would it be and why?

Grace Brumley: Softball because I played travel softball growing up but had to give it up for basketball.

Do you have any superstitions before, during or after a game?

Brumley: I wear my socks inside out.

If you could have dinner with three people, who would they be and why?

Brumley: (UConn women’s basketball star) Paige Bueckers and the cast of the Chicago PD. I love the way Paige plays and Chicago PD is my favorite show.

What would you do with the money if you won the lottery?

Brumley: Buy a million-dollar house in Las Vegas.

What’s been the best advice you’ve gotten?

Brumley: “Don’t worry about other people’s opinions.”

What’s been your favorite moment at Taft?

Brumley: Junior year homecoming.

What’s your favorite thing about basketball?

Brumley: The sense of success and accomplishment.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

Brumley: Pasta.

What are some things on your bucket list?

Brumley: Travel to exotic destinations, play college basketball and scuba dive.

What’s something people don’t know about you?

Brumley: People don’t know that I take 2-hour baths and have a peanut allergy. I also don’t like coffee.
