His play got a lot of Raiders fans talking about his hooping ability, some even mentioning a potential matchup between Crosby and fellow Raider Derek Carr.

Fans weren’t the only ones reacting to his play. Atlanta Falcons cornerback and former Raiders teammate Casey Hayward had a choice emoji when watching his former defensive end play. Another former teammate, Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon, also felt that the dunking shown off wasn’t particularly impressive.

A few NFL analysts also gave their opinions regarding the defensive end’s high-flying basketball game. NFL Network’s Steve Wyche summed it up simply by tweeting “Boom!” in response to the video. Meanwhile, NFL analyst Brian Baldinger, known for his social media breakdowns of league game film, also gave his analysis on the performance.
Tell Maxx to send me the video. Saw him dunking like a true Condor

Though the opinion is split as to whether Crosby is actually a strong basketball player or showing off against lesser opponents, the fact remains that the Raider is one of the league’s best athletes. For Las Vegas fans, they’ll be happy to see him keep his focus on the gridiron for now.
Last season, Crosby led the league with 22 tackles for loss while also registering a career-high 12.5 sacks and earning his second consecutive Pro Bowl nod. Given his strong play on the football field, don’t expect the Raiders defensive end to make the jump to professional basketball anytime soon. However, this does open up debate as to who is the best basketball player in the NFL and perhaps fans of the league will be treated to more hoops mixtapes this offseason as the ever competitive players look to one up each other.
