3. Eric Staal, C (2003-16)

Eric was taken with the No. 2 overall draft pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut immediately and recorded 31 points (11 goals and 20 assists). Eric went on to win MVP of the 2008 All-Star game and hoisted the Stanley Cup once. 

He still holds the Hurricane record for most consecutive games played (349) and has the second-most points in the team’s history (775).
