Top 10 Florida State men’s basketball players of all time

Honorable mention

Dwayne Bacon (2015-17)

Bacon is one guy in a string of recent players who haven’t stayed at Florida State long under Hamilton, but in the two seasons he was in Tallahassee, the 6-foot-7 guard shined. Averaging 16.5 points and five rebounds over the two years, Bacon became a second-team All-ACC player.

Mickey Dillard (1977-1981)

Dillard had a standout career at Florida State in which he scored 1,734 points, the fourth-best mark in program history. As a junior in 1979-80, the guard earned first-team All-Metro Conference honors as he scored 635 points on the year, the seventh-best single-season mark in Noles history.

Hugh Durham (1956-59)

Durham’s greatest legacy both at FSU and in college basketball may very well be as a coach, but before taking the Seminoles to the Final Four in 1972, he was a standout player for the program. Durham averaged 18.9 points while scoring 1,281 points total in his three seasons at Florida State, and his 43-point performance in a 1956-57 contest against Stetson is still the third-best single-game mark in program history.

Dave Fedor (1959-1962)

Fedor is one of a select few whose number is hanging in the rafters at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, and for good reason. The 6-foot-6 standout is still third all time in program history in rebounds with 969, and he had some impressive individual performances including a couple of 28-rebound games in 1959-60, and a 43-point scoring effort that same season.

Jonathan Isaac (2016-17)

Florida State has had a lot of one-and-done players worth mentioning in recent years like Malik Beasley, Patrick Williams and Scottie Barnes, but Isaac sticks out among the group. The 6-foot-10 forward’s impressive length led to a strong lone season in Tallahassee in which he averaged 12 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks as an ACC-All Freshman team member.
