Ranking the top 10 UConn men’s basketball players of all time

STORRS, Conn. (BVM) – UConn Huskies men’s basketball is one of the premier programs in college hoops. Their four national championships (1999, 2004, 2011, 2014) are the most of any Division I school since 1999 and puts them in a tie with Kansas for the sixth-most all time.

Much of the program’s success came under Jim Calhoun who led the Huskies (1986-2012) to a 625-243 (.720) record, four Final Fours and three national championships as head coach. Former Husky Kevin Ollie then took over shortly after Calhoun’s retirement and led UConn to another national title in 2014, becoming the first No. 7 seed to ever win the NCAA Tournament.

Aside from excellent coaching, the Huskies have produced a myriad of All-Americans. Talented guards and skilled big men have helped UConn become one of the nation’s most decorated collegiate programs.

With that in mind, here are the top 10 UConn men’s basketball players of all time.
