6. Trent Caraway, SS, JSerra Catholic

The Lions are the state’s top-ranked team not only because of a star-studded pitching staff, but because of talented position players like Caraway. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound senior was an all-league second-team selection last season after batting .338 to go along with 11 RBIs for the Southern Section champions. Caraway’s best defensive tool is his arm strength which gives him the ability to play both shortstop and third base. Also one of the better hitters in his class, the Oregon State commit has the chance to compete for playing time shortly after arriving in Corvallis.
