Another number that has yet to find a lot of success in the Cup Series is the No. 36. The car has appeared in 748 races with 126 top-10 finishes, 34 top-five finishes and five poles.

While the car may not have ever reached victory lane, it has seen drivers with numerous strong finishes including Tommy Irwin who had 24 top-10 finishes, 14 top-five finishes and two pole position victories. Larry Thomas also drove the car well with 42 top-10 finishes and 13 top-five finishes. Only Ernie Irvan (three) won a pole in addition to Irwin, while in No. 36. Ken Schrader has driven the car the most starting in 106 races.
