DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (BVM) – The Daytona 500 is the biggest race in NASCAR, and tends to kick off the racing season with a bang each and every February. Since its inception in 1959, there have been 64 editions of the “Great American Race” with many thrilling moments.

Some legends of NASCAR like Richard Petty, David Pearson and Dale Earnhardt Sr. all found themselves in victory lane at Daytona at one point or another, while some surprising names like Trevor Bayne and Derrick Cope have pulled off improbable upsets to etch their name into history.
