Richard Petty made the 43 car famous and the majority of its success is thanks to him. Petty drove the number 1,125 times winning 192 races along with 526 top-five finishes, 676 top-10 finishes. He also won a record-tying seven Cup Series championships.

Since 1949, the No. 43 has competed in 2,204 races with 200 wins, 579 top-five finishes and 847 top-10 finishes. Erik Jones is the current driver of the No. 43 Legacy Motor Club Chevy. He’s raced the car since 2021 and picked up his lone victory at the 2022 Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington.
