NASCAR Cup Series’ best by car number: 50-59

No. 50 (1962-2021)
The No. 50 car has had 75 drivers get behind the wheel — those drivers placed in the top five 11 times and the top 10 41 times. Geoff Bodine was arguably the most successful driver, leading 118 laps and recording four top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. His brother, Todd, also led three laps in 11 total races driving the car.
The most notable driver of the No. 50 was Bill Elliott, who drove for Turner Motorsports at Daytona in July 2012 and was sponsored by Walmart for the company’s 50th anniversary. Ricky Craven was the longest tenured driver of this number starting 36 races and recording one of the five pole positions for the No. 50 car.
