The Mavericks kick started the trading spree at the trade deadline by bringing in Kyrie Irving to help Luka Doncic. Dallas could double-down on its attempts to build off last year’s Western Conference Finals appearance by adding Irving’s former teammate. Love is not what he used to be but his ability to shoot from three would add more weapons to Dallas’ move to go all in on offense. His 7.2 rebounds from last season and his rebounding ability in general would be a big positive for the Mavericks. Love hitting the outlet man to start the fast break or getting an offensive board that he then feeds to an open teammate out on the three-point line, is something Dallas would love to see.
