Top 10 Massachusetts HS baseball players in Class of 2023
8. Hagan Ward, RHP, St. Sebastian’s
Ward doesn’t have the prototypical build of a starting pitcher, but standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 230 pounds, he presents a dominating figure on the mound. He can deliver a fastball that reaches 90 mph, sinks out of the zone and can switch up speeds with a curveball. He’s entering his senior season at St. Sebastian’s and is set to lead the Arrows to a playoff appearance. Ward is also a Notre Dame commit and will be eager to take the mound for the team that made its third College World Series (CWS) appearance in program history in 2022.
‘23 RHP Hagan Ward (MA) huge at 6-7/230, hammering the strike zone at 89-91 with good sink, landing shorter slider for strikes, has shown change with fade as well. Very efficient, forced weak contact. #ND commit. #PGNational @PG_NewEngland pic.twitter.com/lHFpNrCutw
