Ranking the top 10 franchise tag candidates in the NFL

(BVM) – Tuesday marked the first day NFL teams could hit impending free agents with franchise tags. Franchise tags are used by teams to keep one unrestricted free agent under contract for another season, which plays a huge factor in how teams approach free agency and the NFL Draft.

Franchise tag candidates include Lamar Jackson, Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, Geno Smith, Tony Pollard, Dalton Schultz, Orlando Brown Jr., Jessie Bates, Daron Payne and Josh Jacobs.
