Taylor Lewan cut by Titans; 5 best fits for the left tackle

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) – The Tennessee Titans released a longtime franchise cornerstone Wednesday when they informed left tackle Taylor Lewan that he would be cut. Lewan has played all nine seasons of his NFL career with the Titans since being drafted by the team in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The left tackle endeared himself to Tennessee fans through his play on the field, which included three consecutive Pro Bowl seasons from 2016-18, as well as his Barstool Sports podcast “Bussin With the Boys” which had wide popularity. However, the writing was on the wall for Lewan as he has only played in 20 of the Titanspast 50 regular season contests due to two separate ACL tears and his contract having no guaranteed money left on it.

With his release, Lewan will now have the opportunity to venture out to another NFL franchise in hopes of picking his career back up. As the tackle turns just 32 this offseason, he could still have plenty left in the tank for a team in need of his services. Here are his five best potential fits.
