Ranking the top 10 Arizona Coyotes players of all time

1. Shane Doan, C (1996-2017)
Doan was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets with the seventh overall pick in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He, with many others, joined the team in Arizona. In 2003, he became the team’s captain and served in that role until 2017. The former Coyote standout accumulated 972 points (402 goals and 570 assists) in 1,540 games which all lead the franchise.
He also won the Mark Messier Leadership award, which recognizes an individual as a superior leader within their sport and as a contributing member of society, in 2012.
Doan is the lone Coyote to have his number (No. 19) retired by the team and could enter the Hockey Hall of Fame in the future.
