5 teams most likely to make NCAA Tournament for first time

3. Kennesaw State

The Kennesaw State Owls have already made plenty of history this season. On Feb. 24, the Owls clinched their first ASUN Conference regular season championship in program history, securing a spot in the postseason for the first time in the program’s Division I era (since 2005-06).

Currently, Kennesaw State is sitting with the No. 1 seed in the ASUN tournament with a 24-8 overall record and a 15-3 record in the conference. The Owls will not have an easy road, however. Despite earning the No. 1 seed due to tiebreakers, their record is still worse than No. 2 seed Liberty which is 25-7 with a 15-3 conference record. If the two should meet in the ASUN championship, it is sure to be a game fans won’t want to miss.
