Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2023
4. Kyle Johnson, OF, Riverside
Johnson has proven to be elite for the Riverside Ram as the 6-foot-1, 205-pound senior is ranked as the No. 7 player in Virginia by PBR and the No. 4 player by Perfect Game. Last season, Johnson had a breakout campaign as he hit .529 and scored 30 runs. Johnson was recognized as a VHSL Class 5A first-team all-state selection and a Washington Post first-team all-Met pick as well.
He will play collegiately at Duke where he will look to further develop his skills on the diamond. Following his breakout season a year ago, expectations are high for Johnson and his Ram teammates following their Class 5A Region D title.
I am blessed and excited to announce my commitment to Duke University. First and foremost, I want to thank God. Also, I want to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates.
