DePaul Drops 10-3 Decision at Illinois State
A 10-run sixth inning for Illinois State stung the Blue Demons on Tuesday afternoon at Marian Kneer Stadium as the visitors saw a three-run lead dissipate in the 41st all-time meeting between in-state foes. DePaul (8-14), led by right-hander Brenna Smith in the circle, held the Redbirds to just two hits through five innings while stringing together quality at bats and building a 3-0 advantage, but ISU’s late rally proved to be too much. Six different Blue Demons recorded a hit while Addison Talbot, Brooke Johnson and Tori Meyer each tallied an RBI.
