The longtime Royal showed why he is regarded as one of the best hitting catchers of the past decade in this year’s WBC. He finished the tournament with a .429 average and a home run, leading Venezuela to the quarterfinals. He was one of 11 Royals to participate in this year’s World Baseball Classic.
