Hobart hosts Clarkson in home opener
GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College baseball team will play its home opener Friday, March 24 when it welcomes Clarkson University to McDonough Park for the start of a three-game series. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Baseball returned to the Colleges this season following a 27-year hiatus. Before the game, baseball alum Jeff Zornow ’78 and Professor of Economics Joyce Jacobsen will throw out the ceremonial first pitches. Zornow was a two-sport athlete for the Statesmen, earning four letters on the diamond. The former president of Hobart and William Smith, Jacobsen approved the reinstatement of baseball in 2021.…
