Laura Fekete Finishes Eighth at NCAA Women’s Fencing Championships

By: Adam Rubin DURHAM, N.C. — LIU fencers continued to prove formidable in épée at the NCAA Championships. After Mo Elsayed finished third overall in the men’s fencing championships on Friday, Laura Fekete followed it up Sunday with an eighth-place finish in the women’s fencing championships. Fekete, an NCAA champion two years ago, this time won 13 of 22 bouts. Both Elsayed and Fekete took home All-America honors.
