5 highest combined seeds to make men’s basketball Final Four

This year’s Final Four ranks among the best in parity all-time. UConn is the only remaining program to have ever made it to the Final Four, let alone win a title. FAU never won an NCAA Tournament game prior to this year’s event and while Miami and SDSU have both had deep runs in the past, they have never been able to get over the hump to make it to the semifinal round.

Though it remains to be seen which team will come out on top, this year’s event will make history as it will be just one of two championship games without a top-three seed and could have the lowest seed to win a title since 2014 when 7-seeded UConn defeated Kentucky in the championship.
