(March 27) – Following a week that featured a trio of doubleheaders in a span of five days, California (PA) sophomore infielder Kaitlyn Achtermeier (Gilford, Ontario/Bill Crothers) was chosen the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon. Achtermeier led the team with a .474 average and nine RBI over six games last week. She also posted a 1.313 OPS behind a .789 slugging percentage and scored five runs while tallying four multi-hit games. Achtermeier went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in Game 2 on Tuesday in a doubleheader split at Pitt-Johnstown.…
