How each head coach made it to 2023 men’s NCAA Final Four

Dan Hurley, UConn

There was an outcry from some UConn fans whenever they fired Kevin Ollie and replaced him with Hurley of Rhode Island. Years later, it looks like they made the right decision. Hurley comes from a prestigious basketball family with his father Bob, a Hall-of-Fame high school coach and his brother Bobby, a former Duke star and the current coach at Arizona State. Now Hurley has a chance to be the most accomplished of the bunch as a coach.

Hurley started off his Huskies’ career by going 16-17 but has righted the ship since, placing top five every year in a tough Big East. Now the favorite out of the remaining teams, Hurley has an opportunity to become an iconic figure for the historic program.
